European renewable, solar and wind power cost is falling down

According to new research, by energy consultancy Artelys, released on Brussels last November, EU could confidently opt for a 61% share of electricity generated from renewable sources by 2030, instead of the 49% currently foreseen in EU projections.

The new analysis proved that solar and wind power falling prices will changes the outlook of Europe’s power sector. Europe can aim for much deeper emissions reductions and higher renewables uptake while reducing electricity system costs.

This will (as per the new study) bring 90,000 new jobs to European citizens.
